So, Craft Potluck Night was a success!
We began with a lovely trip to the Wee Book Inn in search of unwanted books that we could love and bring home with us. And, it also happened to be National Book day, so naturally, being in a book store, we did what any other National Book Day lovers would do . . .
Instructions on National Book Day: Turn to page 56 of the nearest book, and look at line 5. That will be your theme verse for the day. The nearest book we had was a giant book of quotations, and of course, page 56 was a Bible verse! So funny. Our theme verse for the evening was apparently Ecclesiastes 11.1 . . .
The night contained many laughs, smiles, much paint, and glue - most of which ended up on ME!
At the end of the evening we ended up with several beautiful journals, each which contains personalized pages that we designed for each other!
From Rebecca's Journal!
From Brittni's Journal!
And this is just one of the beautiful journals we designed - belonging to Brittni!

oh fun memories! Even though it's not National Book Day I'm going to find the nearest book... "He felt like there was an invisible, man-eating tiger loose" (Cinco de Mayo by Michael J. Martineck (: No joke.)
ReplyDeleteThat's hilarious given the timing! And I think you meant to say Sinko de Mayo.... sheesh your spelling is terrible! :D
